NCPC Note to the Field
Safe Firearms Storage Campaign
The National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) is proud to continue to work with the Bureau of Justice Assistance on the Safe Firearms Storage Campaign, which encourages firearms owners to make safe firearms storage a priority. In 2013, the National Crime Prevention Council teamed with BJA, the Ad Council and Merkley+Partners to produce Lock It Up, a new public education campaign to engage firearms owners and prospective owners on the importance of safe firearms storage. The campaign ends with a simple call to action to firearms owners to “Lock It Up” when their firearms are not in use.

Safe Firearms Transfer
We at NCPC continue to work with The Advertising Council, Inc. (Ad Council) and ROAR on the Safe Firearms Transfer public education campaign (sellwithcertainty.org) which was created to encourage firearms owners to use a licensed dealer or a Federal Firearms Licensee when selling a firearm and provides resources for private sellers.
